Opening of the 5th CJCA Congress in Luanda
Luanda, Angola hosted, from 9 to 13 June 2019, the 5th Congress of the Conference of Jurisdictions of Constitutional of Africa (CJCA) on the theme: “THE COURTS/CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCILS AS GUARANTEES OF THE CONSTITUTION AND THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS”. This edition was marked by the presence of presidents of not less than fourty one (41) African constitutional and supreme courts ,the African Union, the president of the constitutional Court s of Turkey, the Council of Europe, the Secretary general of the World Conference of Constitutional Justice- WCCJ, and other guests. The ceremony of opening was enhanced by the presence of his Excellency the President of the Republic of Angola João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, who made a speech on this occasion.
