Mauritania: The Constitutional Council has a new seat


The President of the Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani inaugurated on Thursday August 13, 2002, the new seat of the Constitutional Council located, at a location, between the Ministry of Justice and that of the Interior, equidistant from the presidency of the Republic and of the National Assembly.

The new seat of the Constitutional Council was built in twelve months, over an area of 2,400 square meters, with state funding. The building has four levels and has 130 offices including that of the president, the general secretariat, the nine members of the Council, other services, a mosque and a car park.

Note that the CC of Mauritania is preparing to celebrate the 30th  anniversary of its creation in 2021.
