New President of the Constitutional Council of Algeria


Kamel Feniche was appointed Tuesday President of the Constitutional Council to replace Mr. Tayeb Belaiz, who has submitted his resignation to the Head of State, Mr. Abdelkader Bensalah, said a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.

The new president served as public prosecutor before being appointed advisor to the Supreme Court and the Council of State.

In 2016, Mr Feniche was elected as a member of the Constitutional Council, under the Council of State, position he held until his appointment President.
