A woman at the head of the Constitutional Council of Mozambique
The President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, was appointed on July 24, 2019, by presidential decree, Mrs. Lúcia da Luz Ribeiro as resident of the Constitutional Council
She was until her date of appointment, a CC Advisor, a position she was appointed to in November 2003.
Start of functions: November 03, 2003.
Lucia da Luz Ribeiro was born in Maputo in 1963.
He obtained a degree in Law from Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) in 1994 and has a postgraduate degree in Corporate Legal Counseling at the Polytechnic University of Madrid where he completed his Master of Business Law from the same University. PhD in Law from the Faculty of Law of UEM, (2019).

Director of the Faculty of Law, Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) (2003-2004);
Former President of the Juridical Council of the Bar (2003)
Founding Member Mozambican Bar Association
Founding Member of the Woman Law and Development Association
Founding Member of Mozambican Association of Legal Career Women
WLSA Associate Researcher.
Legal advisor to the Minister of Public Works and Housing from 1995 to 2003;
He has been a professor at the Eduado Mondlane University since (1995) and also has a Portuguese language teacher training course at Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM).
She is a lawyer, lawyer by profession, and legal advisor to various state and private institutions.
Fluent in the Portuguese language. Knowledge of Spanish and English languages.
It should be noted that the C C of Mozambique is a founding member of the CJCA, it is also a very active member and has already hosted the fourth session of the Executive Board of the CJCA in January 2014.
