Holding of the 10th session of the CCJA Bureau in Johannesburg


On January 30 and 31, 2019, the Executive Board of the CJCA held its 10th session in Johannesburg – South Africa, chaired by Dr. Mogoeng Mogoeng, Chief Justice of the Republic of South Africa, President of the CJCA

The members of the Bureau paid special tribute to the late Mourad MEDELCI, former president of the Constitutional Council of Algeria and observed a minute of silence in his memory

In particular, the following topics were addressed:

– Summary of the activities of the CJCA for the year 2018;

– Finance of the Association, including the statement of contributions;

– Closure of the 2018 budget year and the adoption of the estimated budget for 2019;

– Review and adoption of the 2019 program of activities;

– Preparations for the 5th Congress of the CJCA, scheduled in Luanda from 10 to 13 June 2019;

– Candidacy for the olding of the 3rd International Seminar of the CJCA;

– Cooperation with the African Union;

– Support to the courts in difficulty, the case of Supreme Court of Nigeria
