Constitutional Council of Algeria : Five new Members sworn
Five new members of the Constitutional Council of Algeria were sworn in on Monday, July 23, 2018, before the President of Bouteflika.
They are Mrs. Salima Mousserati and Chadia Rehab, appointed by the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Reda Ousahla, elected by the Council of the Nation (2nd Chamber), Mrs. Khadidja Abbad, elected by the National People’s Congress ( 1st Chamber)) and Mr. M’hamed Adda Djelloul, elected by the Council of State.
The Constitutional Council is composed of 12 members, 4 of whom are appointed by the President of the Republic, 2 elected by the National People’s Congress (NPC), 2 elected by the Council of the Nation, 2 elected by the Supreme Court and 2 elected by the Council of State.
As a reminder, Algeria is home to the permanent headquarters of the CJCA
