The Supreme Courts of Rwanda and Sierra Leone, joined the CCJA
The President of the CCJA, Chief Justice M. Mogoeng, attended a Conference on the Judiciary and Community Justice Institutions that was held in Kigali, Rwanda on 21 to 24 August 2017.
At this Conference, the Chief Justice had a meeting with Chief Justice Rugege of Rwanda and Chief Justice Charm of the Sierra Leone.
It was at this meeting that the President of the CCJA managed to persuade Chief Justices Rugege and Charm to join the CCJA.
The two Chief Justices duly agreed and signed the adhesion letters
The President of the CCJA has also written letters to them welcoming them to the CCJA.
With these two memberships, the CCJA now has 44 members.
