Membership of the Constitutional Court of Turkey to the CCJA
By letter from Mr. Z. ARSALAN, the President of the Constitutional Court of Turkey, dated 5 October 2017, addressed to the President of the CCJA, the Constitutional Court of Turkey applied to become an Observer Member of the CJCA.
With this membership, the CJCA has two observer members: Brazil and Turkey
It should be noted that the Statute of the CJCA stipulates in article 7: “Observer members are the constitutional courts whose states are not members of the African Union and the constitutional jurisdictions that apply for observer status.
The observer member is not entitled to vote; he is not subject to any dues but may make donations to the Conference.
He may be invited to participate in the activities organized by the CJCA”
