Mamadou Koné has been officially confirmed as President of the Constitutional Council since July 25, 2017, after acting as Francis Wodié. He will head the institution for six non-renewable years.

Mamadou Koné born on September 18, 1952 in Boundiali in the Savannah region is an Magistrate Outside Hierarchy Group A single step, formerly President of the Supreme Court.
Under the New Forces, he held the post of Minister of Justice and Human Rights 2 in the Banny 2, Soro I and II governments from 2006 to 2010.
On February 3, 2015, he was appointed Acting President of the Ivorian Constitutional Council to replace Francis Wodié3
