Guinea Bissau, election of a new President of the Supreme Court of Justice
Judge – Advisor José Pedro Sambu was elected this Friday, December 10, new President of the Supreme Court of Justice of Guinea Bissau, to replace Mamadú Saido Baldé, who died last August following a complication due to Covid.
Out of an electoral body composed of 12 Judges, 8 voted for Mr Sambu, the other two running candidates did not obtain any votes, four other judges did not participate in the ballot
The new President graduated from Bissau Law School, he was elected President of the National Electoral Commission (CNE) of Guinea-Bissau in February 2021.
The Supreme Court of Justice of Guinea Bissau has been a founding member of the CJCA since 2011.
