Central African Republic: Rejection of the draft amendment to the Constitution by the Constitutional Court
the Constitutional Court rejected on June 5, 2020, the draft of the modification of the Constitution of March 30 initiated by some deputies of the majority, and supported by the head of state Faustin Archange TOUADERA.
According to the judges, in the event of a shift in the electoral calendar planned for the end of December 2020, a broad consultation of the living forces of the nation is more than necessary in such circumstances. (Read)
